Hi All,
Trying to add the command:
IP mfib fastdrop to a WS-C4510R+E 10 slot switch, this is to protect the CPU from non-RPF traffic, ie traffic that fails RFF checks. This command did work on older chassis, before I open a Tac case for this has anyone else experienced this issue?. Thanks in advance.

Harry,

What Supervisor engine are you running, and what IOS/IOS-XE version? Also, what error are you getting when you enter "ip mfib fastdrop"?

I don't know how much luck you're going to have with TAC, that chassis has been EoS since April of this year.

Thanks,

Hi Zach,
Thanks for your replay. IOS-XE 03.08.04E sup engine Sup 8-E . No option for entering ip mfib fastdrop, all I get is ip mfib carriage return.
Are you sure this chassis is EoS? I thought it was quite new.

The 4500R-E chassis went LDoS in April.  The 4500R+E chassis are not
even announced for End of Sale yet, let alone LDoS.  The Sup8E is also
not even announced for EOL yet.  The 7-E/7L-E were announced in Oct
2016, and are still supported until Oct 2022.
