Hi,

I am currently using 3640 series router with 2 E1's from different
providers and running BGP. As part of major expansion plan, my
requirement is to get 34Mbps or most likely DS3 bandwidth. In this
case, i thought of using my 7200VXR router, which just has PRI / Multi
channel E1 card & a Fast Ethernet I/O Controller card.

So, I would like to know whether 7200VXR series can handle 34mbps -
100 mbps of traffic. If so what are the cards that has to be
plugged-in to support 34mbps traffic initially. Else a better
solution with bandwidth as main factor

Awaiting guidance.

Thanks & Regards,
Kuppu

You will be glad with 7206VXR with NPE-300.

You will need PA-T3+ or PA-E3 depending on the physics you obtain from your NSP.
The next step of expansion is typically PA-POS-OC3MM/PA-POS-OC3SMI, or load sharing over
multiple DS3/E3 links.

NPE-300 will not do over 110-120Mbps, so you are likely to look towards NPE-G1.

Thanks everyone,

I have NPE300 plugged into this router. So, better let me ask my ISP
to get to noe the lastmile connectivity device, such that i can choose
one of the card you all have recommended HSSI / PA-T3+ / PA-E3..

Regards,
Kuppu
