Has anyone come across an SR4 transceiver for the A9K-2X100GE-TR? Specific experience with certain vendors/products is appreciated.

Thank you,
-Drew

Hi,

If there are issues finding CFP-100G-SR4 you always have the option to go for a CFP->QSFP28 adapter + QSFP28-100G-SR4 solution.

Best Regards
Ted

This was the top result for a Google search of 'CFP SR4':

http://www.3c-link.com/index.php/100G/show/26.html

I'll save you the LMGTFY link, in case it wasn't in your region... ;)

Though I'd be much happier with CFP->QSFP28 converters as Ted mentions,
particularly given Cisco's *just* unveiled line of 8/16/32x100GE QSFP28
line cards for the ASR9k. :)

Oh Hey Tom,

Yeah I saw that link you mentioned but I was specifically asking if anyone had used any of those products not so much whether or not they exist.

i.e. do they work?

Also I was unable to find a Cisco brand CFP->QSFP28 so again can anyone tell me whether they have used those and whether or not there are caveats?

Thank you,
-Drew

Not sure whether you are only interested in the ASR9000, however we are
using SR4 optics between a CRS-X and Arista 7508E. They both work okay.

Mark.
